Eddy AI is the AI assistant built into the Quinyx Knowledge Base. It answers your questions using our help articles. This article explains where to find Eddy AI, how to ask questions that get useful answers, and what Eddy AI can’t do.
Where to find Eddy AI
You can use Eddy AI in two places:
The search bar at the top of every page. Click it, or press Ctrl + K.

The Eddy AI panel. Click the lightbulb button in the bottom-right corner of the page. Use the Page help tab for questions about the article you’re reading, or the Knowledge base tab for questions about anything in the Knowledge Base.

How to ask Eddy AI a question
Open the search bar or the Eddy AI panel.
Type your question in full, the way you’d ask a colleague.
Read the answer, then open the article it links to for the full steps.
If the answer doesn’t fit your situation, ask again with more detail, such as which app you’re using.

Success check: you’ve found the article that covers your question, and you know the next step.
You can ask Eddy AI questions in English, Dutch, German, or Swedish, depending on the language of the knowledge base you're using.

Examples of good questions
These examples come from the topics users search for most often.
Ask this | Rather than this | Why it works |
|---|---|---|
"How do I activate my Web Calendar in the mobile app?" | "web calendar" | It names the feature, the app, and what you want to do |
"How do I apply for a shift in the mobile app?" | "shifts" | It describes the task, not just the topic |
"How do skills work in the web app?" | "skills" | It tells Eddy AI you want an explanation, and where |
“What is a base schedule?” | "base schedule" | It tells Eddy AI that you want to know what a base schedule is before going further |
What Eddy AI can’t do
Don’t enter personal information. Ask about how Quinyx works, not about specific people. Don’t type employee names, personal ID numbers, or other personal details into Eddy AI.
It can’t see your data. Eddy AI reads the Knowledge Base articles. It can’t see your Quinyx account, your employees, your schedules, or your timecards.
It isn’t a calculator. Don’t use it to work out hours, dates, or pay. Use Quinyx for that.
It only knows what’s in the Knowledge Base. If we haven’t written an article about your question, Eddy AI may not be able to answer it.
It can be wrong. Always open the article it links to before you act on the answer.
Compliance alert: For anything that affects pay, labor law, or a published schedule, confirm the answer in the full article, and check your own Agreement settings in Quinyx.
