Using the company's organisational structure usually provides a good basis when setting up your configuration. However, it's not unusual to make some changes to achieve the desired permission levels in Quinyx. Therefore, it is not necessary for the structure in Quinyx to reflect the actual structure of your company.

The Different Groups
Customer: The highest level in the structure is the customer account called domain, created by Quinyx. Staff members with the highest access levels are added at the domain level ensuring they have access to all groups in the structure below domain level.
District: Districts are optional and used to group units in different geographical areas. Staff members with access on district level automatically have access to all units in that district.
Units: Units are often defined as separate physical locations within the company. There must be at least one unit for each customer. Employees are usually associated with a home unit, and there's an option to share staff between units if required.
Sections: Sections are optional and can be created to separate different areas or departments within a unit.
Organisation structure can be used to add members and assign roles directly to the groups in the Organisation.
